This past weekend Phillip's family threw a couples shower for us. We had a great time with everyone at Florence. There were so many wonderful gifts! His Aunt Kathy and Uncle "D" hosted the event. Kathy did an AMAZING job on the food (and I finally found a cocktail sauce that I like...she makes her own). Phillip's Aunt Diane made her signature goodies. I think we all walked away needing to spend the rest of the afternoon on a treadmill. It was such a lovely afternoon.
My parents and sisters make the trip as well. So now the majority of both families have officially met. My dad talked Phillip's dad's ears off...but my dad will talk to a brick wall. Unbeknownst to them, my sisters almost ran over Phillip's dad on his motorcycle elsewhere in Florence. All in all, it was a rough day for Phillip's dad when it came to meeting my wacky family. At least we all got a laugh out of it!
I forgot my camera, so if I can beg pictures off of Phillip's mom I'll post. Otherwise, we're out on this one. Too much stuff to remember right now! :-)

Phillip is in LoVe...
Unfortunately it's with a power tool. Today Phillip had to go to a show in Rock Hill for work. The show was for a company that has a line of products that Phillip has been and will continue to sell. Evidently everyone that went was handed a raffle ticket as soon as they walked in the door. At the end of the day, the tickets were drawn at random for a "prize."
Kristin was at work when she got a phone call from Phillip. All he said was "Guess what!?" Not wanting to disappoint, she said "what?" Phillip proceeds to tell Kristin about the divine intervention that landed him with the winning raffle ticket. What was the "prize" you might ask? None other than a spiffy, new WEEDEATER!!!
At 5 PM when Kristin got off work she called Phillip to talk to him a bit more about his day. He doesn't get off work until 5 PM. Surprisingly, he was already at home and had commenced in what we will refer to as "Yardwork, Phase 1." Then she gets a long lesson about everything you can attach and do with this nifty piece of machinery. She informs Phillip that he is more excited about a weedeater than he was when she accepted his proposal. His response, "No no no. I promise I'm not. HOWEVER, you have to understand...this is a POWER TOOL."
There are so many mistresses in Phillip's life. At least they don't come in the form of real women.

Weekend Fun
This weekend we got to do lunch in Aberdeen, NC with Lyndsey and her boyfriend Jeff. Lyndsey is one of Kristin's bridesmaids. We were SO happy and thankful for the lovely time we got to spend together. Lyndsey was officially the last person to receive her bridesmaid dress. Now the only thing we have to do is make it to the church in time for the wedding. :-)
On our way home we stopped by the Humane Society of Richmond County because Phillip wanted to look at the puppies. Kristin voted for Sheba or Sandy. Here's Sandy's link:

Sadly, we could not come to an agreement over the big dogs. Better luck to us next time!
