Last year we decided to take a vacation to Savannah, but due to a lot of circumstances we had to push the trip back to this year. We had to make the trip over my fall break from school, so we left Saturday and came back Wednesday. We made reservations at
Armstrong Inns in the historic district of Savannah. We stayed on Chatham Square.
Obviously, our bed was super comfy! I wish I could recreate this at our house. Most of the art in the suite was painted by William Armstrong, one of the owners.
More art above the desk area.
The dining area in the kitchen. One of our favorite aspects of this bed & breakfast was the fact that pastries, fresh fruit, desserts, etc. were all delivered fresh to the suite every day.
This was our private garden for our stay. (As is evident, it rained every day.)
This was the gate from the square to the garden.
Sadly, this was not the square we stayed on. We found out the day we got there that Robert Redford was using Chatham Square to film his new movie,
The Conspirator. We did a lot of walking everywhere, so this was one of the squares we strolled through.
Loved the fountains everywhere!
At the suggestion of my cousin and his wife, our first dinner was at Churchill's Pub. Thanks for the suggestion Trevor!
I am obsessed with this chair. Phillip said he wasn't paying that much for a place to sit, so he would build one for me. Somehow I doubt that will happen.
Humidity abounds in Savannah! This was right after a down pour in one of the gardens.
