13 Months

I should have posted about this a month ago, but since I'm still backed up on blogging (like almost 2 months behind) I figured I would go ahead and do this before I had to do Emory's 14 month post at the end of this week.

In the middle of signing (his version of) "more."  It gets much more difficult to take pictures when they become mobile.
Signing AND grinding teeth.  Nasty little habit he picked up, that teeth grinding, but the doctor said he'll grow out of it and it relieves teething discomfort.
Happy baby equals happy mama.

...and now for a round of applause.
Balloons are amusing.
Can I just say how fun this age is?  Emory is so curious and inquisitive, but way serious.  Everything is a new adventure (especially those kitchen cabinets).  We baby proofed the ones with cleaners or "no no" objects, but everything else is free game!  It's like he's opening the doors to Narnia!

Likes:
  • Exploring
  • Following everyone to the restroom
  • Wrestling with Daddy
  • Giving big, sloppy, drool-filled kisses
  • Loves being outside
  • Giving Mommy butterfly kisses
  • Reading (even if the book is upside down)
  • Fruit
  • Talking - screaming, babbling, squealing, anything with various pitches to ensure EVERYONE is aware of his presence.
Dislikes:
  • Foods with "skin" still on - beans, tomatoes, grapes.  He'll devour them sans the casing, but won't touch them with it on.
  • Being alone (we are currently experiencing full-blown separation anxiety)
  • Sitting still - for showering and other moments of imperative solitude we use the pack n' play to corral big boy.  Fortunately, he is great at playing individually!  (Thank the Lord!)
  • Oddly enough Emory is OK with being as loud as humanly possible, but cannot tolerate loud noises, music, etc.  Cataclysmic meltdown, folks!
Time flies when you're having fun!
