Our February

It's amazing how quickly each day seems to pass lately.  I am going to try to do a catch up post about February while nap time is winding down.
This little guy turned a month old on the 10th!
Emory got to help decorate cookies for the first time on Valentine's Day.
...obviously the word "decorate" in this case is interchangeable with "devour."
Craft time for grandparent cards with a 1 year old is quite interesting.

"I love you THIS MUCH!" hands.  Thank you, Pinterest!
Emory's (and Everhett's although he wasn't allowed out to play) first snow.
Oh the finger paint!

Daddy and Grammie were encouraging the body painting that commenced.
It's all fun and games until someone gets dirty (that's my boy)!

Ummm yes, he is just that delicious.

Along with developing a rather expansive vocabulary (and telling you exactly what he thinks about everything), Emory has grown an opinion about clothing.  Unfortunately, his stylistic sense is lacking a good bit.  He has a toboggan that he insist on wearing everywhere (including to the pool) and with everything.  I literally have to sneak it off at night to wash it.

Heavens help us!  These boys are a handful...and worth every second of it!

Brotherly Love

Pssst!  Have you heard?  Emory loves his little brother.  To be honest, Everhett seems just as intrigued by Emory, but he doesn't insist on aiding in his big brother's care as much as Emory does with him.  Emory tries to help burp him, he gets diapers (sometimes the right ones), he covers him up and pats his bottom, and even tries bathing Everhett.  It's adorable.  Really y'all, we're talking melt your heart precious!
This one is on facebook, but it's too adorable.  His first time holding Everhett when he was 2 days old.
The buddies having their first of many fun splish splash sessions together.  I had just finished running the water and putting Emory in with Everhett when little brother started flowing from his "fountain."  Big brother immediately said, "WOW!" and tried catching it.  Everyone had to be evacuated and we started again.  :-)
This is a little photo session I took with Grammie Harris' help the night before Valentine's Day in between craft projects.  Seriously, these boys are my soul.  I adore them!

"Here brother, you need your paci."
Ahhh, breathing in the preciousness that surrounds us.  You may want to grow accustomed to posts like this.  It appears that these boys have captivated my attention for at least the next 18 years (and my heart forevermore).

Love,
An Enamored Mama

Houston, we have a chunker!

Y'all, we have a chubby baby! Our Everhett Graham is officially a month old, so we carried him in today for his well visit.  Boy was I impressed.  I knew that his little face was filling out and he has even grown himself an impressive double chin, but I had no idea how much he had gained.
Seriously, I could eat this kid!
If you knew us when Emory was this age, you understand what a huge relief this is.  It took almost a year to get Emory on the charts due to reflux.  I was dreading the battle of weight with another reflux baby.  Everhett killed it!  He weighed in at 10 pounds, 8 ounces (that is a 3 pound, 2 ounce gain from birth) putting him in the 75th percentile.  The pediatrician said maybe one out of every 100 newborns he sees displays that kind of growth.  Look at him go!
Have I mentioned how alert Everhett is?  Holy cow!  We are in trouble when he becomes mobile.
The obligatory tribute to Daddy's Tigers.
He measured in at 21.5 inches for height, so that's a 25% leap from birth for him as well.  The only thing under the 50th percentile is his head circumference (40th).  I'm so proud of this little guy and how far he's come.

We got the green light to try incorporating a little dairy back into my diet, so fingers crossed and prayers going up that there won't be any other intestinal bleeding.  This mama is ready for a milkshake!
Sweet angel.
Now that we are starting to get a bit more settled, I am aiming to have more pictures and posts this week.  There's so much to catch y'all up on.  Until then, be blessed!

Introducing Everhett Graham

Since our newest love is now four weeks old, I suppose it's time I actually post about his arrival.
Everhett Graham Harris was born January 10, 2013 at 12:18 AM weighing in at 7 pounds 6 ounces (just like his mama) and measuring 20 inches long.  Oh and lest I forget to mention, we have ourselves a strawberry blonde on our hands!
Everhett is beyond alert.  This boy has been taking in the world since the beginning.  Oh, this pose is also befitting.  He is ridiculously strong.
Excuse the look, I had just given birth.

A very sleepy Daddy with his two boys.
So in love and feeling pretty good about 12 hours later.  Showers do wonders for the soul!
One of the happiest, most fulfilling moments of my life.  Being a mama to two precious little boys under the age of 2 is sure to be an uphill battle, but moments like this make it worth every second.
In the interest of full disclosure, there is much more to the story of his chaotic delivery and first week of life.  However this mama is still dealing with processing everything emotionally from those first ten days, so I'm not quite ready to divulge that series of events.

Thank you to all of our family and friends for your prayers, calls, visits, meals, and undying support over the last month.  We are so blessed!
