South Carolina Shower

This weekend marked the beginning of the welcoming festivities for Baby Emory.  We had a great trip to South Carolina.  The shower was awesome!  Thanks to Mama Harris, Aunt Diane, Sarah, Nicki, and Heather for being wonderful hostesses!!!  We are blessed with wonderful family.  (Lots of pictures in this one...sorry!)
Beverly, one of my mother-in-law's best friends, made this precious wreath.  Love it (and it's full of useful goodies).
Sarah took charge of all cakes...diaper and the edible type.  My daddy didn't believe it was really made of diapers.  Bless his buttons.  :-)
I should have rotated this, but you get the hint.  FOOD!  Oh my heavens, was it ever amazing!  I ate fruit all weekend.  And no, it was not good for the diabetic diet.

How cute is this?  YUM!  So good.  There was not one piece left at the end of the shower.
I look like a vulcher, and this cake was my prey.

Baby carriage for little Emory.  :-)
Gift table.  Thank you so much to everyone for all the wonderful presents!
Most of these pictures will involved me being mid-sentence.
We got two of these outfits.  One for 3 months, one for 9 months.  The Carhartt overalls are cute and the shirt underneath reads: Farm Raised.  Befitting.  Phillip loved them.
Baby massage book!  (Now I need a mama massage book!)
Nicki (and by Nicki I mean Tracey) miraculously found the diaper bag we registered for that is out of stock according to the internet.  Oh buddy am I ever excited about that thing!
Me with our niece, Logan.
Mama Harris finally got her chance to sign the shower page.

My hubs with sweet Aunt Gladys.  We love it when she is able to make it to gatherings.
Phillip got in some practice during the shower too.  :-)
My parents were able to make it down.  Dad, Phillip, and Will got to babysit children and dogs during the shower.  Thanks fellas!

Sydney was possessive over his grape vines.

There's no telling what she was about to get into, but it probably wasn't good.

In typical Taylor fashion, she decided that Gracie needed to go for a swim.  Gracie, on the other hand, did not agree.
It must be something with the red heads.  Here's Brandy trying to get Sydney to swim.  Sydney doesn't seem to be a willing participant.

Taylor got in trouble with Uncle Phillip.  She quickly took her pouting stance.  Thus began the battle of wills.  :-)  I'm not sure who won.

Sydney sure has grown up.  We were so happy that Brandy and Will were able to come down for the day!  Love those two (three).

College Suitemates 10 years later.

Sunday was a lazy lady for us.  Sarah had to go to the library and Lee needed to work on some stuff, so we took Emma out for a ride around the farm on the Mule.  She seemed to enjoy taking in the scenery.

How gorgeous are these?

Aunt Diane said that Grandma Taylor would have been proud of her Tulip Tree this year.  I like to think this is her way of letting us know she's still with us.  Absolutely beautiful!

Emma drove on the return trip.  She also discovered the horn.  It was a noisy ride.

Thanks to everyone for making this weekend so special for us and Baby Emory.  We were so sad to leave, but are excited to think that the next time we're down we will be carrying one more little passenger...this time not in my belly.
