Emory's Week in SC

Phillip has been working away this summer.  Emory and I have stayed busy on the homefront and at the florist (they like to see him come in on Fridays, it means they get paid).  We left on the first of July after writing paychecks and headed down to Florence for what was suppose to be a long weekend.  (Emory and I ended up staying for a week.  Thank you for being the best hostess in the world, Aunt Diane!)  We had so much fun with Phillip's family!
Emory with his biggest fan, Emma!
Sarah chatted with baby boy so I could do something...probably go to the restroom alone.
Aunt Nicki didn't believe that Emory would shut up when you take him outside.  Guess who shut up?
Phillip, Lee, and Jeff spent  much of Sunday pulling up shrubs, trees, and flowers that Aunt Diane wanted gone from around her house.  On Monday, Lee and Phillip kept at it.  Emma and Sarah came and kept us company.
Emma was bored with the landscape demolition at this point.
After showering the dirt off of her, Emma decided it was time to help Daddy build a computer for her Grams (Aunt Diane).  How cute is that?
Every chance she got she wanted to hold Emory.  I can't wait until they can play outside together!
Emma, Emory and I took a walk to the pond to see the new baby duckling and let Mason swim for a bit.
Mason appreciated the break from the heat.

This girl is in LOVE with Uncle Phillip's 4-Wheeler.
After everyone left Emory and I decided to stay a few extra days with Aunt Diane.  His Grammie Harris came over to keep us company.  She read him a bedtime story (with the assistance of Aunt Diane).  Look closely, Emory isn't paying attention to the book.
Yeah, Aunt Diane is definitely teaching Emory how to stick his tongue out.
Emory LOVES his giraffe.  He goes to sleep with it every night.  Grammie can make it talk!
Our nieces got back into town from their beach trip on our last day there.  Fortunately, Nicki was able to bring them by to visit little man before we had to leave.  Warning: some of these pics were taken by Taylor (6 years old) and Logan (12 years old).
This would be Taylor's photography skills.  Not too shabby!
In case we have failed to mention this before, Emory does not believe he's a baby any longer.  He wants to stand ALL the time.
Little man looks thrilled.
Ready.
Set.
Stand.
Emory and his LoLo.  She has the same skin tone as he does.  :-)
We had such a great time in Florence.  Thanks to everyone that came over to spend time with us while we were down!
